Watch receipts and messy notes become a working workbook
Pick a sample workbook, then paste notes or try the sample receipts. The AI drafts the rows, you approve them, and the formulas do the maths.
This page is an example. The workbooks you buy don't have a chat built in. Each one comes with an AI Workflow Guide (PDF) of copy-ready prompts, and you use it with ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot like this:
- Copy the guide's prompt into your AI chat, then add your notes, receipt photos or invoice.
- Review the rows it gives back, and anything it lists under "To check".
- Paste the rows into the workbook's input cells. The workbook's formulas do the rest.
A simplified sample for this demo. Totals here are calculated by the page, the same way the workbook's formulas do it.
The workbook does the maths
AI reads the paperwork; formulas calculate every total, job budget, tax amount and food-cost %. You get the speed of AI without trusting it with your numbers.
It flags what a person would miss
Totals that don't add up, receipts with no job, possible duplicates, and supplier prices that jumped. Nothing goes in until you approve it.
No bank login
Your money data stays in your own Excel or Google Sheets file. Use any AI you like, or none at all.
Pay once, keep it
One-time price, no subscription. The AI Workflow Guide is included with every workbook.
How it compares
| Bear Digital | Typical template download | Typical budgeting app | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | One-time, from C$19 | One-time | Usually a monthly or yearly subscription |
| Reads receipts and invoices | Yes: the included prompts work with any AI chat that reads photos (you copy, review and paste) | No | Some apps, often on a paid tier |
| AI help | Prompts written for each workbook, included | Rarely included | Varies; often part of a paid tier |
| Where your data lives | Your own Excel or Google Sheets file | Your own file | The app's servers; many ask to connect your bank |
| Learning it | Practice copy with expected answers and a Quick Start | Usually a blank template | In-app tutorials |
| Works in | Excel, Google Sheets or both, depending on the workbook. Each product page lists what it was tested in | Often one or the other | That app only |
| If you stop paying | You keep everything | You keep it | Access usually ends |
Comparisons describe common options in general, not any specific company.
- Where it goes: your text and files go from your browser to a small Google Apps Script relay run by Bear Digital, which passes them to Anthropic's Claude API (model Claude Haiku 5.5) and sends the rows back to this page.
- Bear Digital: the relay doesn't save or log what you send. It keeps only short-lived counters for the demo's usage limits, tied to a random ID for this browser tab. The rows on this page disappear when you leave or reset it.
- Anthropic: under Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are deleted within 30 days and aren't used to train its models. Content its safety systems flag for a usage-policy breach can be kept up to 2 years. See Anthropic's retention page.
- Limits: messages are limited per visitor and per day. When the AI is busy or the limit is reached, a built-in demo engine answers instead (it only reads the sample documents and simple notes).
